Naturopathic Medicine is a unique system of primarily health care focused on identifying the root cause of a problem. For example, many children have eczema. Research has identified that eczema is strongly related to gut health. Children with fewer good bacteria in the digestive tract have higher rates of eczema. A natural approach would be to address gut health in order to resolve eczema. By identifying and removing the root cause, a child’s skin health is improved and digestive health. This approach always focuses on long term health. An underlying problem, like digestive function, that is not addressed can lead to other issues.
